Usually, when I’m out doing and activation of a park, it’s on the weekend. And most weekends, I wear my Apple Watch so that I can still get communications from my family but my phone can be in a backpack or somewhere that I don’t have to deal with it. On my Apple Watch, I have a widget for Zulu Time which is a nifty app that will list, well, Zulu and any number of other timezones you might enjoy having in sight. On the watch complication it shows the hour. That is VERY helpful when logging or just to answer questions that only I seem to have in the confines of my head while at a park bench on a Saturday.
I did NOT have my Apple Watch with me on our recent camping trip. As such, I did NOT see when the day ticked over while at Straits State Park. What’s that mean? It means that my log was split. On one day, I had 6 contacts. On the next, I had 7. But silly me, I was trying to hit 10 and get packed up so I could have dinner.
Watch the time, kids. Especially if you’re chasing paper! I consider this a Lesson Learned.
